hey folks, i was wondering if anyone has tried the american amber that we brewed last month. looking for some feedback good or bad. but mostly bad so i can fix any problems that came up. thanks for all the help.
cheers,
jonny
Sorry everyone for not being at the meeting. I was told earlier last week that I’m next in line for layoffs happening sometime this coming month. Needless to say, I’ve been preoccupied. And completely forgot about the brew meeting! Trust me, I could have really used a night out. and a beer or nine to go with it. Anyways , sounds like things went well for those who did make it. Chelsea, i owe you a beer. Hope all are doing well.
Cheers,
Jonny
hey don't forget! those that want to eat, try and bring a side to go with hot dogs and hamburgers. and i'm sorry, there will be no scotch balls this brewday... well i guess that depends on if i get my kilt back from the dry-cleaners in time.
cheers!
Okay, so I suggest American Amber Ale for this month’s brewday. Do to there not being enough time for any of the up coming club styles (Damn Lagers!) that we could have ready to bring to the meetings. i made this beer three or so months back and it turned out great! It turns out right in between an American amber and American IPA.
notes on the beer:
we had some stuff come up at the house. long story, but hope all are well. and down a few for me.
cheers,
jonny
Well I know that the meeting for this month is undecided, but what about the brew day? I’ll host the brewday here if no one else can or wants to. We can work it out for the end of the month which I think is the 27th. American pale ale is style of the month. bad Juju if we dont brew.
Cheers,
Jonny
Just wanted to let everyone know that we’re good to go for the may club meeting Saturday. Just got back from Boston this past week with no email or phone, but they did have some good beer. Anyways, our goal is to try out some food pairing with the American Brown style (Cheese, fruit and meat). If you have any ideas let me know before Saturday.
cheers,
jonny
so have we found out who will be hosting the club meeting this weekend? let me know if we need a volunteer.
cheers,
jonny
Here’s the invite for our third annual St. Patrick’s Day party on the 14th of March. Our plan is to have a step up every year for the event. We’ll be having the traditional “corned beef and cabbage”, lots of potatoes, whiskey and beer. All of the great things the Irish used to live life to the fullest, starting with the stomach. This personally is my favorite holiday out of the year. Although St. Patty’s is a great time to tip a pint, the tradition of the holiday is one that we look forward to sharing with friends the most.
Thanks for hosting the brewday Mike. We had a great time. Same goes for you Fred, great work. I also wanted to send out a post for our next Soup Night happening on the 24th of this month at our place. We’re making a 4 gallon batch of broccoli and cheese, so all are welcome. See you folks at the next meeting.
cheers,
Jonny
