I was just reading my brew log from one of my early batches back in 2001. The recipe is pasted here. The funny part is the last line. Maybe Will and I have something in common besides our politics... (grin)

EDME Red Ale
08-13-01 Ingredients: Red Ale kit
3 lbs malt syrup
1 oz. Willamette hop pellets (30 min)

08-18-01 Moved brew into the secondary fermenter.
08-28-01 I’ve had to postpone the bottling. Life keeps getting in the way.
09-01-01 Bottled
09-15-01 This is a good beer, but not really to my taste. The hops are evident and somewhat over-powering.
