Need Pin Lock Kegs

Anyone know where I can get some pin lock kegs locally? I started using them and find them more convenient than ball lock. I have 2 but need some more.

Funny coincidence..

I now have 3 kegs and a CO2 cylinder the size of a corni keg, that a friend's boss was going to send to the scrap yard. The kegs are Pin Lock kegs. One was manufactured by Cornelious, one by Firestone and one by Alloy. The outsides are'nt pretty to look at...but the inside of each looks good.

Not sure yet if they're even usable since I read somewhere that part for older kegs are no longer available. Someone removed all of the keg fittings from them. I'm told the guy wanted to use them to make a pressure washer of some type.

At the least, the kegs need a good cleaning (C-brite is my friend), keg fittings, both gas and dip tubes as well as lid seal o'rings. The list look odd (different than my Ball lock kest, so I'n no sure I can even evaluate thier condifion. The big "IF" is if I can even refurb them. I'd like to see if I like them better than ball lock kegs.

As for the CO2 cylinder is stamped DOT-3AA1800 and if I read inspection stamps correctly...it hasnt been inspected since 97. I'm not even sure it's still useable. I'll just have to take it somewhere, Sydney-Lee unless someone has a better suggestion, and have it checked out. The regulator is brass with "Superior" marked on the handle. From outward appearences, it seems to be in good shape. The bottle seems to have some gas in it, though not much.

Major win today. Not only

Major win today. Not only did I convert one of thise stainless cornie's to be a fermentor, I was able to trade the CO2 cylinder for a false bottom and a stainless valve assembly. Looks like I'm gonna make myself a Mash tun. I suppose my grand plans NOT to move to all grain ust got the old heave ho. I had to buy some parts, but not more than a few dollars worth.

Had Doug look at these kegs

Had Doug look at these kegs and got pretty bad news. The price of the parts is as high, or higher, than the cost of complete reconditioned kegs. If anyone has a better ide ot a cheap (free) source of parts... I'd love to hear about it.

I'll either throw them away (send them to Henry Co. Recycling Center) or convert, one or all, into very nice six pack fermentors. (I rather like that idea)

You'd think they would be

You'd think they would be easy to find in the home of Coke... I've never seen one before. I have Ball lock (Pepsi) kegs.
