Congrats to you Charlie. I have sampled the brisket and if Jesus wanted to eat some brisket he would ask for Charlie's! The judges are full of chitlins' if they said your ribs sucked!

weird that two beers that placed were "cardboard "and "confusing" tasting to other judges in another comp.

Will, I got my results today

Will, I got my results today and I feel a little better about the results. I think the amber ale I sent was one of an infected batch I had based on their comments. The comments on my stout were fair, although I disagreed a little with their interpretation of the style. My IPA is the problem...I got a 43.5 and still didn't place...damn. I did get honorable mention, though. It would have been nice if they had listed that on the results website. From the comments I got I assume I would have placed with more "hop aroma". I don't know how to do that without getting a hopback as I had an ounce of hops at flameout and an ounce each in 2 different dry hoppings.

hey i sent you an email but you faired better than me i got 31(apa) 27 (ipa) and 25(blond which i was afraid it was past its time) anyway you did good with the hm due to my place number on apa was 14,898 and ipa was 10,567 blond place number was 6789. that is a whole lot of entries you did good.
