Beer and Food Pairings

I wanted to see what everyone thought about a beer and food pairing session at our next meeting. (June 21st at Brian & Karen's house) It would just be small samples of food to see how they are complimented by different biers. I have been reading up on it some and I think it would be fun. Plus it's another reason to drink beer! Let me know what you think about this.

Thanks to the Chambers! The food and beer pairing was great. I liked the pickle and IPA and the cheese and........well I can't remember what beer we had with it, but it was good. If anyone wants to do this again, Sam Calagione's extreme brewing book has several beer and cheese pairings in it.

Assuming I can actually make it to the next meeting, I think this would be a blast.

I need to find out what beer goes with Pig Candy! I'm thinking a Belgium?

suggestion.

I think a smoked porter would be good with it. It would bring the smoked flavor out. A belgium would be good too. I'm sure it would bring out the sweetness.
