the new super pot

wOULD LIKE TO LET all members know the maiden voyage of the clubs new brew pot was a success. The 55gallon pot was tried out by glen;charlie;brian;karen;and myself and it worked great. we will have to use my big burner or club buy one.the small burners want boil it. i come to every brew day so we can use mine.so next brew day we can have a 52 to 50 gallon batch of beer. the present mash tun jeff has should do a small og beer in the 50gal range.working on getting us 2 more drums so we have mash tun hot liquor tank and boil kettle.glen has some pictures of it on the site so check it out.

o yea glen and i both have

o yea glen and i both have 20gal boiler maker pots so we can use them as hot liquor tanks or use the 30 gallon pot already on club system untill we get more drums.

Brewery

Keep in mind the 28 gallon boil pot we have would serve well as a HLT. I plugged some numbers into Promash. The 128 qt cooler can only do about a 35 gallon batch of 1.050 wort and that's pushing it.

If we had a sparge manifold for the top of the grainbed....we could fly sparge. I we were fly sparging the cooler could do 40 gallons max of 1.050 OG wort.

The cheap option is to use two mashtuns we already own. the 128 qt cooler and my 62 qt cooler. It makes for a little more complications on brew day....

sounds good the boiler maker

sounds good the boiler maker will hold 40lbs of grain well i say we try it out

I'm your huckleberry

Sounds like a bunch of beer to make.
