johnny never showed, kirk and I held it down.. haha, all we did was bring the beer to them and they did the rest. I think i met 2 people that homebrewed... haha
They all seemed to enjoy it.. it was a bunch of hipsters that were paying a dollar more for something that wasnt PBR... so thats a good sign, not to mention just over hearing people rave about it.
I only saw one person who didn't like it. She was subtle about it, but she made that face and poured the contents of her cup into her date/boyfriends cup. They REALLY loved the fact that it was relatively high gravity.
I gave lessons on the proper pour and she did a good job for a while. Eventually the pressure of the crowds was too much. These kids were drinking yeast bombs as soon as the lights went done. Hope it didn't ruin anyone's evening. And, not to sound naive, why does a Community Center have a Sanke keg system built into a closet in the basement?
I gave out half a dozen club 'Web address' cards. Most were to locals, however there was one guy who drove down from Kentucky to attend.
In hind sight, the only problem I saw with the product was that the bombers were a little under-carbonated. Since it was served last, no one cared. I'm going to try out the carb tabs when I bottle next. I did a side by side comparison with and noticed that the batch that Michael brought for me to take up there had the best carbonation. (I have some photos that I hope to post later).
