Hey folks,

Fred and I will be brewing 40 gallons in one day! It will be on Sunday March 9. We are brewing the annual airshow beer that will be given out during our BBQ dinner on May 3. The plan is to brew an American Amber Ale.

The beer name is Lose Rudder Red Ale.

The brewday will start very early as we are doing two separate 20 gallon batches in the same day. We will be looking for a couple of people to help out if anyone is interested. Shoot me an email if you are interested in helping us.

update

Note that we changed the date from Saturday to Sunday.

I appears that we will dough in at 8 am and finish around 5 pm if we do things right.

If we dough in at 8 am we should be done draining the first batch into carboys at 12:45 or 1:00.

We will dough in the second batch around 11:45 and finish this batch around 5 pm.

Glad you moved it to Sunday.

Glad you moved it to Sunday. Saturday weather is windy and a high of 41. I hate cold and wind.

We are ready!

110 lbs of grain milled on Fred's Monster Mill. We have 8 carboys ready for sweet wort. 6 packs of US05 and 2 starters of White Labs 01. A little over 2 lbs of hops are ready too.

We will dough in at 8 am. I've got Bubba Burgers for lunch along with some waffle fries.

How the hell can you be

How the hell can you be ready if the Peachstate Brewoff Amber Ale champion (me!) can't be there? Wish I could be, but I gotta go support the family. Have fun!

Thank You

Thanks Will, Lamar, Glenn and Brian for coming over to help Fred and I. We now have 40 gallons fermenting in the basement!

We'll be sure to call all the other club members to come bottle. :-)
